TechniData CfP enables companies with a large number of suppliers to handle the large volumes of product data that need to be exchanged and updated. The solution checks what information is missing for a particular product or component from a given supplier. It automatically creates the relevant tasks and sends these to the supplier, who transfers the required information, e.g. on ingredients, substances or compositions. He can send this information in a standard format such as AIAG, IEEE or IMDS; or he can send a self-declaration, e.g. as a PDF document. The system records all this information and documents it in a form that can be easily checked. If any of the product details change, TechniData CfP automatically responds to this and sends another inquiry to the supplier.

Draft reports quickly and easily: A flexible reporting function allows users to generate different reports, e.g. for regulatory authorities, product developers, environmental officers or customers. Since TechniData CfP uses standard SAP NetWeaver functions, issues such as document management, different data formats or change management no longer arise. Users can analyze the drafted reports. This creates a sound basis for well-founded business decisions.

Compliance is a process involving many participants - suppliers, customers, authorities, internal departments, various factories, sites and overseas companies. TechniData CfP supports this cooperation with its task management module. For instance, if information is missing on the lead content of a supplied part, the task of providing this is assigned to the supplier. The person responsible for this data at the supplier's performs the task and provides the required information. To ensure data security, TechniData CfP uses an integrated SAP-based authorization concept to regulate who is authorized to perform which tasks.

TechniData CfP supplies all compliance functions and information in the Compliance Management Cockpit. This can be used to:

• Perform compliance tests, i.e. test whether products meet a particular requirement or not
• Perform "what if" analyses based on alternative product parts or alternative suppliers
• Manage all data that is important for compliance evaluation centrally, e.g. substance-list data, information on the whole product structure to pure substance level, customer and supplier data, ingredients, compliance status etc.
• Create, pass on and process tasks
• Record documents and store them in structured form and export and import data in standard formats
• Identify hazardous substances in the products
• Draft, manage and send customer documentation
